Pupil Premium 2012 – 2013

The 2012 – 2013 Pupil Premium allocation is  £42,000.

The 2012 -2013 allocation of Pupil Premium was used to employ additional support staff to deliver intervention programmes and support FSM children in class.

The headlines below from 2013 RAISEonline demonstrate the impact of pupil premium funding on narrowing the achievement gap (KS1 > KS2: 11/20 pupils) i.e.

Impact

Value Added (VA)

  • FSM Overall VA is 103.2 which is above that of Non FSM pupils 102.3
  • FSM Maths VA is 103.1 which is above that of Non FSM pupils 102.0
  • FSM Reading VA is 105.6 which is well above that of Non FSM pupils 102.7
  • FSM Writing VA is 102.4 which is close to that of Non FSM pupils 102.6

Expected Progress (2 x levels)

  • FSM Reading is 100% which is above the national average for Non FSM pupils 89%
  • FSM Writing is 100% which is above the national average for Non FSM pupils 93%
  • FSM Maths is 100% which is above the national average for Non FSM pupils 90%

L4+ Maths, Reading & Writing

  • FSM is 55% (gap -34% / -26% compared to national average for Non FSM pupils)

L4+ Maths

  • FSM is 82% (gap -18% / -6% compared to national average for Non FSM pupils)

L4+ Reading

  • FSM is 100% which is above the national average for Non FSM pupils 89%

L4+ Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling

  • FSM is 45% (gap -44% / -34% compared to national average for Non FSM pupils 79%)

Our School Tracking System robustly measures the attainment and progress of FSM pupils in all year groups for reading, writing and maths. This indicates that pupils across the school eligible for Pupil Premium are currently on track to make good progress overall. Narrowing the gap in writing between Non FSM pupils and FSM pupils remains an important school priority in our School Improvement Plan.
